Director of Originals at Movistar+
Domingo Corral is Director of Originals at Movistar+, where he leads the production of series and feature films. With a degree in English Philology and a Master’s Degree in Journalism from UAM – El País, he began his professional career at Cadena Ser and Canal+, being part of the team responsible for the launch of Canal Satélite Digital. In 1999 he joined TBS as director of TCM Spain and Portugal, also assuming in January 2013 the direction of Cartoon Network Spain. In May 2014 he joined Telefónica’s pay TV division as content director of Movistar TV.
Heading Movistar +’s Original Fiction Production department, Domingo Corral runs the content creation strategy of the Spanish audiovisual giant. He is the executive producer of more than 25 series, among the latter are: El Embarcadero; La línea invisible, which tells the story of the beginnings of the terrorist organization ETA; La unidad, crime thriller; the adaptation of Julia Navarro’s best-seller, Dime quién soy, the award-winning Antidisturbios, the three seasons of Mira lo que has hecho and the comedy Nasdrovia. On January 29, 2020, will premiere Los espabilados, the new series directed by Albert Espinosa (Red Band Society) while it continues to prepare La Fortuna, a miniseries directed by Alejandro Amenábar.
