Johanna graduated from The Norwegian Film School with a bachelor’s degree in film directing in 2016. She has made several award-winning shorts and now works as a screenwriter for a tv-drama series for Norwegian state-broadcaster NRK and Motlys. She is also developing a sci-fi-drama series and working with her debut feature film, Ebba & the Lover, which has gotten development funding from The Norwegian Film Institute. In the summer of 2018 Johanna is shooting her next short, which is produced by Barbosa Film and has been granted funding for production from The Norwegian Film Institute. Her latest short film MY SISTER DANCES, has just completed post-production. Her family is from Finland, she grew up in Sweden and now lives in Norway. Her films are often about identity, belonging/alienation, gender and power.
