Ph.D. in Cinema and Television Studies, Gaia Tridente is an experienced international media consultant with specific expertise on scripted TV and digital contents. She works as Advisor, Analyst and Consultant bringing her deep knowledge of the international scripted marketplace.

With a fresh and keen media industry insight of television and digital landscape, she works as Strategic Consultant for Italian independent production and distribution companies, as well as for APA (the Association of Audiovisual Producers in Italy) and  MIA – International Audiovisual Market since 2016. On the strength of the market’s fast-expanding television slate, in 2017 she has been appointed Head of Drama Division at MIA where she is responsible for the editorial strategy of the Drama Division, which is focused on global TV and digital contents, including all kinds of formats produced for television broadcasting and digital streaming. MIA aims to facilitate, encourage, and accelerate new business opportunities for the development and creation of new drama productions, on an international level.

Former Head of International Programming of RomaFictionFest, a role that she covered from 2007 to 2016, Gaia has also served as Head of European Relations for the Rossellini Foundation from 2010 to 2011, and as Programming Director for Taormina Film Fest and Europa Cinema from 2005 to 2007.
