German Films Service + Marketing GmbH is Germany’s national agency for the worldwide promotion of German cinema. Founded in 1954 and restructured in 2004, the company supports the international visibility of German films across fiction, documentary, animation, and short film through close collaboration with leading global film festivals, professional market presence, the staging and supporting of worldwide Festivals of German Films, and strategic industry programmes.

Its activities include organising festival participation and industry pavilions, providing press and industry support, coordinating the German Oscar® submission, publishing market insights, offering targeted distribution and world sales support, as well as running talent programs.
