Sustainability at Göteborg Film Festival

At Göteborg Film Festival, sustainability is a cornerstone of our work. The festival complies with all relevant laws and requirements and is environmentally certified by a third party, ensuring that our efforts in environmental and sustainability matters meet the highest standards.

Our Vision

Göteborg Film Festival is committed to minimising its negative impact on the environment while highlighting critical sustainability issues. We believe in the power of film to inspire and influence society. The festival strengthens the cultural and social role of film, both locally and internationally. This year, we are screening 270 films from 83 countries, and since 2020, we have actively pursued gender equality among directors with the goal of achieving a 50/50 balance.
