Media analyst Johanna Koljonen presents the 5th annual report of the Nostradamus Project, which monitors and analyses the rapid changes in the screen industries. The presentation is followed by a discussion with invited experts.

The next five years will decide whether the film industry as we know it will survive. The small screen windows – TV, VOD and online – are rapidly converging, small screen storytellers are better at relevant storytelling; and the “big tech” studios are beating everyone else in engagement. What do European filmmakers, funds, financiers and exhibitors need to do to embrace innovation, compete with the global majors and remain a cultural force?

Panel: Edith Sepp, CEO, Estonian Film Institute; Marike Muselaers, Co-CEO, Lumière Group; Thomas Gammeltoft, CEO, Copenhagen Film Fund and Wendy Mitchell, journalist.

Presented by Göteborg Film Festival, in collaboration with Lindholmen Science Park and with additional support from Region Västra Götaland and the City of Gothenburg
Moderator: Johanna Koljonen, CEO Participation | Design | Agency AB
