When can I watch the films that are streamed online, and how long will they be available?
If you have an Onlinepass you can activate it as early as 7 January, get familiar with the digital cinema, and watch festival favourites from previous years before enjoying the entire festival when it starts on 23 January. During the festival, films will be available for 24 hours after their premiere. You can see when each film premieres in the programme. The festival programme is released on 7 January.
If I activate my Onlinepass on 7 January, can I still participate in the entire festival?
If you have an Onlinepass it will be valid until the end of the festival, even if you activate it on 7 January.

You can watch the films as many times as you like within the time limit set for each film.
How many gigabytes does a film use from my internet?
It’s difficult to provide a general answer as it varies from film to film, but as a rule of thumb, streaming at our lowest resolution consumes at least 300 MB per hour. You can choose your streaming resolution: low, medium, or high. The price remains the same regardless of your choice.
Do I need to pay for each film I want to watch online?
No. With an Onlinepass, you can watch all the films available in the digital cinema during the festival.
If there are multiple people in the same household – do we need multiple passes or is one enough?
One Onlinepass is sufficient for each household.
Can I watch the festival from outside Sweden?
For rights reasons, we are unfortunately unable to show our films abroad, so you need to be in Sweden to participate in the festival.
Are the films subtitled?
Not all films are subtitled, but all films that do not have Swedish or English as their spoken language will at least have Swedish or English subtitles.
