Filmförderungsanstalt FFA – German Federal Film Board Delegation

The FFA is Germany’s national film funding institution. Supporting all areas of German cinema, the FFA is the central service structure for the German film industry. It conducts its business on the basis of the Film Promotion Act (FFG) and manages the Federal Government’s incentive funding schemes DFFF and GMPF as well as the cultural film funding.

The FFA not only funds feature films at all stages of production and exploitation, but also cinemas, the preservation of German film heritage, the reception and promotion of German cinema abroad, and the provision of film education. Moreover, it regularly analyses and publishes market data of the domestic film, cinema, and video industries.

On an international level, the FFA collaborates with its partners from Europe and beyond to support development of cross-border projects and co-productions.
