Production conditions in Berlin-Brandenburg are excellent. The capital region attracts producers from all over the world and is home to the famous Studio Babelsberg. In recent years, major international film productions and high-end drama series have been shot here, including The Hunger Games by Francis Lawrence, Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme, John Wick and The Matrix Resurrections starring Keanu Reeves, as well as the series Babylon Berlin.

With an annual budget of approximately €35 million the regional film fund MBB supports cinema productions, outstanding TV movies and TV series in all its stages: development, production, distribution, as well as digital postproduction and A-festival competition presence. MBB is open to exceptional national and international projects ranging from high-end art house to cinema blockbusters.
