In 1927 Denmark, ambitious police officer Otto Himmelstrup leads the newly formed Special Unit, tasked with solving particularly difficult crimes. A body in a burnt-out Esbjerg summer house leads Otto's team to an unusual murder mystery, revealing power struggles and corruption among the city’s elite. As the unit nears the truth, danger escalates, forcing Otto to battle powerful enemies and confront his own dark side.
