Maia lives with her grandmother, Nora, on the family’s conventional cattle farm, which she will be taking over. After a devastating storm, Maia’s livelihood is questioned by her eco-minded neighbors and an anxiety is ignited in her, as she starts to grasp the disturbing scale of climate change. Maia must navigate between acting against the dire future of the planet and staying true to her heritage. Maia Against the World is a heartfelt and humorous drama about generational divides, eco-anxiety and cows.
