Call for Nordic projects – Works in Progress 2026
Göteborg Film Festival’s Nordic Film Market showcases the most exciting new Nordic films and talents. For the 2026 edition, submissions are open for the first time for Works in Progress.
Each year, Nordic Film Market brings together 600 accredited sales agents, distributors, buyers, producers, programmers, financiers, and other key industry delegates. It’s the region’s leading hub for discovering new projects and talent, and a key meeting point for connecting with decision-makers.
Works in Progress is Nordic Film Market’s platform for spotlighting the most promising Nordic feature films in production or post-production. In 2026, the sessions will be held in the festival’s iconic Cinema Draken, as always featuring on-stage presentations with exclusive screenings of clips.
In recent years, titles presented in Göteborg include Armand (Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel), The Girl With the Needle (Magnus von Horn), Sex Love Dreams (Dag Johan Haugerud), and When the Lights Breaks (Rúnar Rúnarsson).
