Göteborg Film Festival 2026 Shines a Light on Truth, in Collaboration with Riksbankens Jubileumsfond
Every year, the Göteborg Film Festival chooses a thematic focus that captures the spirit of the times. In 2026, we turn the spotlight on truth. Under the year’s banner of Focus: Truth, the festival will examine how truth itself is shown, shaped, manipulated and questioned – on-screen, and off.
For the first time, the annual focus will be presented in collaboration with a partner: Riksbankens Jubileumsfond. As part of this partnership, researchers featured in the foundation’s yearbook ”Justice” will take part in in panels and talks, exploring Focus: Truth.
The Focus: Truth conversation program will take place on Monday, January 26.

Riksbankens Jubileumsfond is an independent foundation that supports research in the humanities and social sciences for the benefit of Swedish society. The aim of its annual book is to share knowledge about the research it funds and to bring timely and relevant themes to a wider audience.
