Nordic Film Market 2027 – Nordic Gateway
Nordic Gateway is Nordic Film Market’s platform connecting international feature films with partners from the Nordics and beyond. Launched in 2025, the initiative presents a curated selection of high-potential international projects in financing, creating opportunities to connect with co-production and financing partners.
For the first time in 2027, Nordic Gateway will welcome projects through a call for projects. Selected projects will be presented to leading Nordic and international producers, financiers, sales agents, and other key industry decision-makers attending Nordic Film Market.
As part of Nordic Gateway, selected projects are eligible for the Tint Post-Production Award, presented by Göteborg-based post-production company Tint. Valued at SEK 400,000, the award recognizes one outstanding project from the lineup and provides high-quality post-production services to support the project’s artistic vision.
Nordic Gateway presentations and meetings take place during Nordic Film Market at Göteborg Film Festival. The 28th Nordic Film Market will be held February 3–5, 2027.

Call for Projects
Eligible applicants
Production companies based outside Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, including the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland.
Project requirements
- Full-length feature film projects
- Project currently in development and in the financing stage
- Project has strong potential for international co-production and circulation
- Project is seeking Nordic co-production, financing, creative or other relevant industry partners
- Minimum one confirmed source of financing, e.g. development or production funding
The projects selected for participation in Nordic Gateway will receive
- Nordic Film Market accreditation, granting access to the market and Göteborg Film Festival
- 4 hotel nights’ accommodation per project
- On-stage project presentation at Nordic Film Market
- Tailored one-on-one meetings with relevant Nordic and international market delegates
- Networking and social events
- Presentation of the project online and in the Nordic Film Market catalogue
