In International Competition, a selection of the most exciting, touching and contemplative films from around the world is presented. Many of the films have already been loved and awarded at film festivals all over the world, whilst others are new discoveries of highest artistic standard. The winner is awarded the Dragon Award Best International Film prize, which was first handed out in 2018 to the Bosnian filmmaker Alen Drljevic’s Men Don’t Cry.

2023 year’s audience award for Best International Film went to The Blue Caftan by Maryam Touzani.
