Works in Progress

Nordic feature films in production or post-production

About

Works in Progress is Nordic Film Market’s platform for showcasing the most promising Nordic feature films currently in production or post-production.

Each year, more than 500 accredited sales agents, distributors, buyers, producers, festival programmers, financiers, and other leading industry delegates attend Nordic Film Market - making it the premier meeting point in the region to discover new projects and talents, and to connect with key decision-makers.

In recent years, the Works in Progress lineup has featured titles such as Armand by Halfdan Ullman Tøndel, The Girl With the Needle by Magnus von Horn, Sex Love Dreams by Dag Johann Haugerud, and When the Lights Breaks by Rúnar Rúnarsson.

In 2026, Nordic Film Market moves to Hotel Draken, with the Works in Progress sessions taking place January 29–30 in the festival’s iconic cinema, Draken. The sessions include on-stage presentations by the creators and producers, along with screenings of 2–4 clips from each project.

The 27th Nordic Film Market will run from Wednesday, January 28 to Friday, January 30, 2026.
