Are You a Young Film Lover? Join the Göteborg Film Festival Youth Jury!

We are now looking for members to join our Youth Jury, which will together select the recipient of the festival’s film award – the Youth Jury Dragon Award.

We’re looking for people who are passionate about film and interested in discussing and analyzing exciting new films from around the world.As a member of the jury, you’ll spend four exciting days watching quality films, exploring the film industry, meeting inspiring film professionals, and becoming part of a network of people who share your passion for cinema. Finally, the jury will jointly present and hand over a prestigious award.The award, established in 2024, aims to highlight young people’s unique perspectives on what defines great filmmaking. It also provides a platform for discussion and exchange where young film enthusiasts can meet and inspire one another.The jury will award the prize to one of eight nominated films in the Voyage section. In previous years, A Ravaging Wind by Paula Hernández and Happyend by Neo Sora have been selected as winners.

To be part of the jury, you must be between 18 and 25 years old and available in the afternoons and evenings during 26 January – 29 January 2026. You don’t have to be based in Gothenburg, but please note that jury members are not compensated for any travel or accommodation costs.
You should also be comfortable with speaking English.
