Jan Lööf awarded the 2020 Honorary Prize

Jan Lööf is one of the leading figures in modern Swedish children's culture, known as an author, cartoonist, and musician. During the Göteborg Film Festival Prisma 2020, the festival highlighted Jan Lööf’s achievements as a filmmaker.

“With warm humour and unmatched creativity, Jan Lööf has, for decades, brought a free-spirited, jazz-like precision to Swedish children’s culture. As a director, illustrator, actor, and musician, he has created unforgettable characters and captivating stories. Skrotnisse och hans vänner, Felix, and Tårtan have sparked the imagination of generations of young people. It is truly wonderful that Jan Lööf is receiving our Honorary Prize,” said Jonas Holmberg, Artistic Director of Göteborg Film Festival.
