Discovery Co-Production Platform
About
Discovery is Nordic Film Market’s platform for presenting feature films in development. The programme spotlights new Nordic projects and creates opportunities to connect with co-production and financing partners.
Each year, more than 500 sales agents, distributors, buyers, producers, funds, public agencies, and other high-profile industry delegates attend Nordic Film Market- making it the region’s premier opportunity to discover new projects and talents, and to connect with key decision-makers. The 2026 edition of Discovery will feature a lineup of 14–16 projects.
As part of the Discovery platform, selected projects are eligible for the prestigious €15,000 Film Finances Scandinavia Award. This cash development award recognises one outstanding project from the lineup, offering crucial support for its continued development. The award is generously presented by Film Finances Scandinavia.
Recent Discovery lineups have included acclaimed projects such as Holy Spider (Ali Abbasi), The Opponent (Milad Alami), Pleasure (Ninja Thyberg), The Quiet Migration (Malene Choi Jensen), and Sick of Myself (Kristoffer Borgli).
The Discovery presentations and meetings are held during Nordic Film Market at Göteborg Film Festival. The 27th Nordic Film Market will take place January 28–30, 2026.
