Introducing the Nostradamus Collective

Launching in 2025 as part of the Nostradamus Project, the Nostradamus Collective is set to inspire collaboration and knowledge-sharing among current and future audiovisual leaders. Its debut session at the Göteborg Film Festival brought together 30 decision-makers for a closed-door discussion. Now, a summary of the session insights, provided by project partner BoostHBG, is available.

The Nostradamus Collective is designed to help the industry anticipate change and respond with resilience by sharing experiences, identifying challenges, and prototyping solutions.

During the 90-minute session in Göteborg, producers, sales agents, broadcasters, film funds, festival representatives, and other industry professionals came together to explore key industry challenges, including:

  • – How can the audiovisual industry safeguard creative freedom and maintain public funding in an era of political and societal shifts that potentially threaten arts?
  • – What strategies can the audiovisual industry adopt to better engage younger audiences and attract new talent, ensuring long-term growth and relevance?
  • – How can the industry foster collaboration and innovation to tackle immediate crises while still investing in long-term sustainable business models?

This session marks the beginning of an ongoing dialogue. Throughout the year, the Collective will collaborate with international partners to expand discussions. More content and insights will be shared via our newsletters and website.
