The 26th Nordic Film Market, January 29–31, spotlights 60 new and upcoming Nordic films and curated selection of five international projects, featuring a mix of new voices and renowned talents. With over 550 buyers, distributors, sales agents, producers, festival programmers, and other key industry professionals from 40 countries attending, the market is now sold out.

NORD – Meet the New Nordic Voices


The Nordic Film Schools educate storytellers of tomorrow. On January 31, nine collaborative student projects will be pitched at Nordic Film Market, moderated by Wendy Mitchell.

Launched in 2021 at the National Film School of Denmark with support from the A.P. Moller Foundation, the NORD project fosters cross-border collaboration among students from The Norwegian Film School, Stockholm University of the Arts, and the National Film School of Denmark.

At this year’s Göteborg Film Festival, students and graduates will present their projects to industry stakeholders attending.

Co-Production in Action: Strategies and Stories Behind Nordic Co-Productions


How do cross-border partnerships drive ambitious filmmaking? This session on Thursday, January 30 delves into the potential of Nordic co-productions, featuring insights from two case studies.

Handling the Undead, a Norwegian-led project co-produced with Sweden, Denmark, and Greece, premiered at Sundance and opened 47th Göteborg Film Festival. Quiet Life, a French-led production co-produced with Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Greece, and Germany, premiered at Venice and will screen at Göteborg Film Festival in 2025.

Producers Kristin Emblem (Einar Film) and Olivier Guerpillon (Fox in the Snow) join the panel alongside Helge Albers (MOIN Film Fund) and Joakim Rang Strand (Film i Skåne) sharing insights on strategies, funding, and initiatives driving Nordic-European collaborations. Moderated by Vilhelm Jegerhjelm, Nordic Film Commissions.

On Wednesday, January 29, the Göteborg Film Festival's daily talk show presents a special Nordic Film Market edition.

Studio Draken offers a relaxed and engaging space where directors, actors, and festival personalities come together to share stories and insights. This special edition dives into the festival theme Focus: Disobedience, exploring how filmmakers challenge norms and create impactful stories.
