TV Drama Vision 2026 celebrates its 20th anniversary under the headline “One Transformation After Another”, with two days of insights and networking at the Nordic region’s key series market. Showcasing 50 series and 100+ speakers on stage, it offers a focused look at the stories, formats and business models shaping today’s industry.
In a moment when reality moves faster than fiction – where budgets shrink, formats multiply, and AI reshapes the production chain – the need for sharper, more resilient strategies to survive and prosper is greater than ever.
We will look into tomorrow’s strategies for co-production pathways and business models, platform-fluid IP development, audience-first approaches, smarter budgeting and sustainable production, the art of writing great stories, and much more.
As always, we bring together 700 key industry delegates, including broadcasters, streamers, producers, financiers and creators from 30 countries, in the vibrant setting of cinema Draken and Hotel Draken.
This is a first programme glimpse, the full programme will be announced in January. Stay tuned!

Showrunning in Europe: Spotlight on Katharina Eyssen
One of Europe’s most influential contemporary showrunners, Katharina Eyssen, is the creator behind Netflix’s Emmy-winning global hit The Empress. Meet her in an on-stage conversation at TV Drama Vision.
Drawing on her path from film director and screenwriter to head writer and creator, Germany’s Eyssen will discuss the evolving role of the showrunner in Europe, creative leadership, and how to steer ambitious storytelling through intense competition and shifting platform demands. Moderated by Marike Muselaers.
In collaboration with the European Showrunner Programme, ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln.
Work in Progress: Summer of 1985
An exclusive first look at one of the most anticipated Nordic dramas of 2026.
Based on John Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel, the series follows a group of teenagers whose idyllic archipelago summer unravels after a mysterious drowning and the discovery of a dying mermaid.
The creative team — conceptual director Björn Stein, director and writer Amy Deasismont and Media Res producer Anna-Klara Carlsten — will share insights into adapting this dark, genre-blending story for SVT.
International Producer Delegations
In 2026, the largest lineup of international delegations are coming to Göteborg with producers, funds and decision-makers.
Producers from across Europe and North America will participate in TV Drama Vision and Nordic Film Market, meeting the Nordic industry to spark new collaborations and explore co-productions.
Alongside an extensive German delegation as part of In Focus: Germany, we will also welcome delegations from Catalonia, Czech Republic, Flanders, France and Québec.
