2019 Göteborg Film Festival introduced a new award, Dragon Award Best Acting. The prize goes to the best actor effort among the contributions in the Nordic Competition and is gender neutral.

Dragon Award Best Acting 2023 went to Alma Pöysti for her acting performance as Juulia in Four Little Adults.
