Hanne-Vibeke Holst is a widely popular writer and journalist. With novels like The condition of Therese she has stirred up a debate around equality and gender-roles in her homeland Denmark. With her commitment to women’s rights, she is also a goodwill ambassador for the FN body UNFPA. Holst has also been active as a screenwriter, namely for tv-dramas like Polisen på Samsö.
In 2019, the Danish writer visited Göteborg Film Festival as a jury member in the section Nordic Competition.
