Actor
Danish Sidse Babett Knudsen is one of her generation’s great Nordic actors. She had her first international breakthrough with Bier’s Oscar-nominated After the Wedding, where she stars alongside Mads Mikkelsen, Rolf Lassgård, and Stine Fischer Christensen, but the role that made her an international star was her masterful portrayal of Prime Minister Birgitte Nyborg in Borgen. She has also appeared in Westworld, La fille de Brest and The Duke of Burgundy. In 2024, she was awarded the festival’s Nordic Honorary Dragon Award. She received her honorary award before the premiere screening of her film Club Zero, which was followed by an Actors Talk.
