Rebecca Ferguson is the recipient of the 2022 Göteborg Film Festival Nordic Honorary Dragon Award.
As Lady Jessica in Dune, Ilsa Faust in Mission Impossible and Jenny Lind in The Greatest Showman, among other roles, Ferguson has appeared on the biggest stages in film culture with a sophisticated, nuanced and distinctive style.
She turned to acting at age 15, followed by Swedish films such as Us and A One-Way Trip to Antibes. Her international breakthrough came in 2013, when she played Elizabeth Woodville, the titular character of the BBC series The White Queen, a role for which she received a Golden Globe nomination in 2014.
After completing the series, Ferguson landed the role of Ilsa Faust in the Mission: Impossible franchise and has over the years gone on to star in international blockbusters such as The Greatest Showman, Doctor Sleep and The Girl on the Train. This autumn, Ferguson played the role of Lady Jessica in Denis Villeneuve’s critically acclaimed Dune.
