When down-on-his-luck Oskar (34) forces his two older brothers to travel and visit their father, they discover that their family bakery is threatened by bankruptcy. However, their eternally optimistic father has a plan; he will save the bakery by trying to make the world's largest tree trunk cake. The boys must now assist their father as they process their issues from the untreated grief of losing their mother. Better Times is a warm comedy drama full of laughs and a big beating heart.
