No one has missed out on the fact that Alicia Vikander is a brilliant star shining in the heavens of both Swedish and international film. Many first noticed the young star in Lisa Langseth’s Pure (2010). Soon after that Vikander was on her way to Hollywood. First came a few minor roles, eventually she played the main roles in the feature films Ex Machina (2014) and then The Danish Girl (2015), for which she received an Oscar. Alicia Vikander visited the festival in 2013 with A Royal Affair.
For the 41st edition of the festival, we welcome Alicia Vikander back.
Göteborg Film Festival proudly presents the 2018 Nordic Honorary Dragon Award recipient: Alicia Vikander. Vikander will visit the festival to receive the Honorary Award, give a Master Class and attend the Nordic premiere of Lisa Langseth’s Euphoria playing in the Nordic Competition.
– I’m very honoured to be chosen by the festival and to receive this award at the same time as Euphoria is finally being shown to Swedish audiences, says Alicia Vikander.
