Director
The French director Julie Bertuccelli visited Göteborg Film Festival with the film Claire Darling, whith Catherine Deneuve in the main role.
Born in 1968, Julie Bertuccelli studied philosophy then worked for a decade as assistant director on a string of feature-length films, TV movies and short films. Following a documentary course at the Ateliers Varan in 1993, she made around 10 documentaries. Her break-through came with the feature film debute Letters to Ottar. Also her following film The Tree, received a lot of attention. She is the president of the rights collection body, SCAM, the first woman to hold this post.
