Director
David Mackenzie has made a namn for himself by breaking genres rather than following them. Over the years, the Scottish director has continued to challenge, provoke and inspire with films lika Hell or High Water (2016), Perfect Sense (2011) and L.A. Gigolo (2009).
He has been described as one of UK’s five most profiled directors by The BFI Statistical Yearbook 2013.
In 2014, he attended Göteborg Film Festival with his new film Starred Up (2013). The film about the troubled teenager Erik’s turns in and out of institutions was highly acclaimed by both critics as well as the audience.
