Josef Fares, Founder and Creative Director of Hazelight Studios, debuted with his film Jalla! Jalla! in 2000 which became a great success, as did his next film Kopps, released only three years later. His film career continued until 2010, when his curiosity for the gaming world took over. Josefs’ gaming career started as a Writer and Creative Director back in 2013 with his release of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, followed by A Way Out (2018), and recently the critically acclaimed, Game of The Year, It Takes Two (2021).

Both in his film and gaming career, he has been nominated and awarded a number of honorable prizes.
