Director of European Film Market (EFM)
Since 2001, Dutch-born Matthijs Wouter Knol worked as creative producer and from 2008 for the Berlinale, first heading Berlinale Talents and from 2014 onwards at the helm of the EFM. Matthijs reshaped and added several platforms to one of the world’s major film markets, including the catalyst programme EFM Horizon. Starting in January 2021, he will be in charge of the European Film Academy.
