Eva Husson
Director and screenwriter, based in France. Her first feature Bang Gang (a modern love story) was selected for Göteborg Film Festival 2016 and Girls of the Sun was screened in competition in Cannes. At the 45th Göteborg Film Festival she is presenting her first English language film Mothering Sunday.
Milad Alami
Director and screenwriter, based in Denmark and Sweden. He is a returning guest at Göteborg Film Festival. The festival screened his short films Mini, Video and Mommy, and in 2018 his feature The Charmer was selected for Nordic Competition and awarded with the Sven Nykvist Cinematography Award. He has also directed tv series Follow the Money and When the Dust Settles.
Olena Yershova
Producer, based in Turkey and Ukraine. Göteborg Film Festival has selected several of her films, such as Motherland (2016) and Volcano (2019). At the 45th Göteborg Film Festival she is presenting the Georgian film Brighton 4th, directed by Levan Koguashvili and awarded as best international feature at Tribeca Film Festival.
Maria Bäck
Director and screenwriter, based in Sweden and Denmark. At Göteborg Film Festival, she has screened short films Christopher Wants to Fly, Above City Below Sky and Mother is God, as well as feature documentary I Remember When I Die in 2016. In 2020, her fiction feature Psychosis in Stockholm was selected as opening film of Göteborg Film Festival and was later nominated to five Guldbagge awards.
Stina Gardell
Producer, based in Sweden. She has produced more than 30 documentary films, among them the acclaimed The Nun, Ingrid Bergman: In Her Own Words and The Most Beautiful Boy in the World. At the 45th Göteborg Film Festival she is presenting Passion, directed by Maja Borg.
Racha Helen Larsen
Producer and festival director, based in Norway. In 2019, she produced the feature documentary Where Man Returns, awarded with an Amanda for best documentary at the Norwegian film awards. Last year, she founded the new documentary film festival Mirage in Oslo.
Maciej Kalymon
Director, based in Sweden. He has presented several short films at Göteborg Film Festival, among them The wheel is spinning but the hamster is dead, selected for competition in 2012. In 2021, Göteborg Film Festival premiered his feature debut Into the fog.
Nathalie Álvarez Mesén
Director and screenwriter, based in Sweden. At Göteborg Film Festival, she has screened short films Not Blue, Letting Go and Shelter. Her feature debut Clara Sola premiered in La Quinzaine des Réalisateurs in Canned this summer, and was awarded with five Guldbagge awards, among them best film, best director and best screenwriter.
Rafael Sampaio
Producer and director of industry platform BrLab, based in Brazil. He also worked as film programmer at cultural venues such as Museu da Imagem e do Som de São Paulo, Cinemateca Brasileira and Cine Olido.
Asta Kamma August
Actress based in Sweden. She has acted in films and series as Follow the Money, Sex and The New Nurses, and has two times been nominated as best actress at the Danish Robert awards. At the 45th Göteborg Film Festival she is presenting The Pact, directed by Bille August.
Martin Eia-Revheim
Board member of the Bergman Estate, and head of Sentralen, a house of culture in Oslo. He is the former head of the NRK Orchestra and president of the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Julie Andem
Screenwriter and director, based in Norway. She is the director of Skam, the teen drama web series that became an unprecedented national and international success upon airing in 2015. The innovative concept won Andem the prestigious Norwegian Golden Screen Award for “Best Innovation” as well as “Best Writing for a Drama” and “Best Directing for a Drama.” Andem has also directed the American remake, Skam Austin.
Alma Pöysti
Actress, based in Finland. For mor than ten years Alma Pöysti has been doing film and stage work in both Finland and Sweden. In 2021 she opened Göteborg Film Festival with Tove, where she played Tove Jansson and was awarded with a Jussi for best leading actress at the Finnish film awards. She is also known from films and TV productions like Liberty, Naked Harbour and Lola upside down.
Gabor Krigler
Producer, creator of scripted serialized content and an international mentor and consultant for series projects, based in Hungary. His career started on the writing team of a daily drama 22 years ago. After a nearly decade-long stint at HBO Europe as a Creative Executive in Budapest, he founded his own production company, Joyrider, in 2019.
Mattias Bergqvist
Journalist and television critic, based in Sweden. He is the chief TV critic for the newspaper Expressen, and has previously contributed to publications such as Café, Smålandsposten and The Guardian

Max Borg
Critic in online dailies Clap and Swissinfo, and print daily Corriere del Ticino, Switzerland.
Susanne Gottlieb
Critic in daily Uncut, Cineuropa and online daily Dmovies, Austria.
Mikael Bundsen
Director and screenwriter, based in Sweden. Mikael screened his short film Mother Knows Best in competition at Göteborg Film Festival 2018. The film then went on to have it’s international premiere at Berlinale, competing for a Crystal Bear and Teddy Award. Mikael is currently developing his feature debut Love #NoFilter, which was selected for CineMart 2022.
Hannah Alem Davidson
Actor, based in Sweden. Hannah is part of the ensemble at Göteborgs Stadsteater, where she has acted in several major productions. The short film 2nd Class, directed by Jimmy Olsson, where she played the main role was screened at Göteborg Film Festival 2019 and went on to festivals around the world and both Hannah and the film won several prizes.
Monne Lindström
Director and screenwriter based in Sweden. Monne is an educated graphic designer and artist and has worked with animation since 2010. Göteborg Film Festival has screened several of her shorts, including Anyone for Tennis? 2011 and Zlatan in the Slopes, which was nominated for Best Swedish short at Göteborg Film Festival 2019.
Brynhildur Thorarinsdottir
Producer, based in Sweden. Brynhildur started out as a director and had great success with her short film Babes Roll Out. She has worked in casting and production on several productions, among them last year’s opening film Psychosis in Stockholm, directed by Maria Bäck, and Maya Nilo (Laura) nominated for Best Nordic Film at Göteborg Film Festival 2022. Brynhildur is currently doing a BA in production at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts.
