As part of the jury, you’ll spend four days immersed in arthouse film, learn about the film industry, whilst also meeting inspiring people working within the field. Plus, you’ll present a prestigious award – the Youth Jury Dragon Award.

Are you a young film lover who wants to be an important part of the 2025 festival? We are looking for members for our youth jury, which will appoint the recipient of the festival’s award, the Youth Jury Dragon Award. To be a jury member, you need to have a passion for film and be interested in discussing and analyzing new and exciting movies from all over the world.

Being part of the jury is a chance to fill four days with arthouse film, learn about the film industry, meet inspiring people working within the field, present a prestigious award, and become part of a network with a passion for film. The award was initiated during the previous year’s festival, with the ambition to give young people a platform to discuss their perspectives on what a good film is. The jury consisted of people dedicated to the art of film and a selection of eight films in the Voyage section were nominated, including A Ravaging Wind by Paula Hernández which was awarded the prize.

To be eligible for the jury you need to be available afternoons and evenings January 27 – January 30. You also need to be 18–25 years old. It is not required that you are based in Gothenburg, however members of the youth jury will not be compensated for potential travel or accommodation expenses.
