Sevgi Eker is a Finnish-Turkish film director and writer who graduated from Aalto University. Sevgi’s films have been awarded and or shown at numerous festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand, Slamdance, Tampere (The Golden Shade Award), Vienna Shorts, Leuven and the Norwegian International Film Festival Haugesund (Next Nordic Generation award). Sevgi has two feature films in late development; Room 511 which was developed at Women in Film and Television Finland’s In Focus incubator, and 7 P.M. On a Sunday which was presented at the International Film Festival Rotterdam’s CineMart 2023. 7 P.M. On a Sunday is Sevgi’s debut feature.
