Zar Amir is an Iranian actor. For her leading role in Ali Abbasi‘s Holy Spider, Amir won the award for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022. In 2023, she was the jury president for the Nordic Competition at the Gothenburg Film Festival. In 2024, she visited the festival with her directorial debut “Tatami,” in which she also plays a significant role.
