Göteborg Film Festival proudly congratulates all Göteborg Film Fund recipients selected for Cannes. The Ukranian feature debut Pamfir, by Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk, produced by Alexandra Kostina for Bosonfilm, together with Les Films D’Ici, Madants and Quijote, has been selected for the 54th edition of the Directors’ Fortnight.

“This was the goal for the strong team behind Pamfir; even when Russia invaded Ukraine they were still set on finishing the film and getting it to Cannes. We are very happy to have been a small part of making this possible and are looking forward to celebrating them and our other Ukrainian partners in Cannes”, says Camilla Larsson, Fund Manager, Göteborg Film Fund.

When Marché du Film in Cannes unveiled the lineup of its Ukraine in Focus program, no less than four of the participating producers were among the teams selected for support from Göteborg Film Fund 2021 – Denis IvanovSashko ChubkoDarya Bassel and Natalia Libet. In the programme of L’Atelier we find the Göteborg Film Fund supported, Turkish Kurdish project Philax, by director Rûken Tekes
