Ronja the Robber’s Daughter

Sweden

In medieval Sweden, a spirited and feisty girl is born. A lightning has struck and divided the chief robber Mattis’ fortress in two, but Mattis only feels joy for his precious daughter and heir. When Ronja turns 12 she ventures into the magic yet dangerous forest where blood thirsty Wild Harpies and scary Gray Dwarfs rule. She meets Birk, the son of Mattis’ arch enemy Borka, and they become soulmates. As the Bailiff’s men swarms the area for robbers and the rivalry between Mattis and Borka escalates Ronja and Birk flee into the forest.
