Industry Centre at Clarion Hotel Draken

Clarion Hotel Draken is Göteborg Film Festival’s new Industry Center, serving as the central location to meet and connect with the industry attending TV Drama Vision, Nordic Film Market and the festival. Here, you can also find our Industry Desk, where you can pick up your accreditation and meet our welcoming staff.   

Industry Desk

The Industry Desk in the lobby of Hotel Draken is the place to pick up your accreditation, secure tickets to your festival screenings at the Industry Ticket pick-up and the press questions during the festival. All accreditations are available for pick-up here, including TV Drama Vision and Nordic Film Market.

Networking and opening hours of Hotel Draken

From January 26 until February 4, Hotel Draken offers plenty of space for meetings, networking, or relaxing in the hotel lobby bar (including the Living Room and Library). The hotel also has two restaurants, the vibrant Heurlins restaurant and café, and the Brasserie Draken, the stunning rooftop restaurant.

The Skybar of the Hotel Draken is open on workdays until 00.00 and on weekends until 02.00. On Sunday the bar is closed. 

Networking around Hotel Draken

Hotel Draken is conveniently situated near Järntorget and Andra Långgatan, an area fondly known as Göteborg’s pub mecca. Stroll along this trendy street and choose from bars and pubs that fit your mood and aim. Some favourite places among the Göteborg Film Festival team include FOLK, Pustervik, Zamenhof, Röda rummet, Hagabions Café, Språkcaféet and Cigarren. Be sure to check their locations on the map on the following pages. 

Networking around Biopalatset

Biopalatset is the primary venue for the Nordic Film Market and several festival screenings. You’ll find numerous cafes and restaurants in the surrounding area, perfect for your meetings. Don’t miss the opportunity to try Swedish meatballs at Stora Saluhallen or Köttbullekällaren. Avalon Hotel (located at Kungstorget 9) welcomes all for networking luncheons or simply to enjoy a drink in its relaxing atmosphere.

Watching Films

Festival screenings 

Industry accredited delegates get access to the festival’s film programme. An Industry accreditation grants you the opportunity to watch films in cinemas every day, provided that there are available seats. Attendees with Industry PRO, VIP, TV Drama Vision, Nordic Film Market and Press accreditations can pick up tickets for festival screenings taking place the same day or the next at the Industry Ticket Desk at Hotel Draken. Remember to bring your badge.

Collect tickets for public screenings the same day or the day before on a first-come, first-served basis. Not available to Industry accreditation. 

 Göteborg Film Festival Online 

Accredited delegates who reside in Sweden have access to the Göteborg Film Festival Online programme from January 26 through February 4. Films are generally available for viewing for 24 hours after the premiere online (certain films may have shorter availability). All accredited who reside in Sweden will receive a code to access the programme before the festival via email. 

Festival Scope Pro  

Festival Scope Pro (pro.festivalscope.com) is an online streaming platform for film professionals that is dedicated to showing and promoting independent cinema from more than 120 prestigious festivals like the Göteborg Film Festival. Discover the latest films from the festival circuit right after the premiere by becoming a member today.

Press Screenings

All accredited delegates at the Göteborg Film Festival are welcome to press screenings if there are available seats. Please find the press screenings here

Online Industry Platform 

The platform opens on January 23 and closes on February 8. The Industry Platform is our digital space for Industry, TV Drama Vision and Nordic Film Market. Connect with guests, stream online content and read about our industry initiatives. 

Press inquiries

The press department oversees all media communications and provides accredited journalists with information and assistance for interviews.

The press desk is also located at the Industry Desk.
