Copenhagen-based director Emilie Thalund is currently developing her first feature, Weightless. Emilie gained international acclaim in 2018 by securing gold at the YDA Cannes Lions for her debut film, Period — a bold and artistic exploration of a taboo topic. Emilie is an experienced award-winning commercial director represented in Scandinavia, the UK and the US, among others. Before directing, Emilie graduated from the Royal Danish Academy with an MA in Art & Architecture. Transitioning from fine arts to film, she is known for being a sensitive observer and a visually strong narrator.
