Emilie was born in Northern-Norway in 1991. She first got noticed with her distinctive short film How do you like my hair? It won the Critics Award at the Norwegian Short Film Festival. In 2018 she graduated from The Norwegian Film School with a degree in directing. Her graduation film, Sara’s Intimate Confessions, continues her feministic project with a further exploration of her talent for subjective and untraditional storytelling. It premiered in Locarno and is screening at Clermont-Ferrand. Emilie is currently developing the feature The Stepsister with Mer Film.
