The 2022 Nostradamus report will be presented at Marché du Film on May 23 by media analyst and author Johanna Koljonen, followed by a panel with industry experts.
The 9th Nostradamus report, titled ”Imagining a Sustainable Industry”, examines possible paths for a long-term sustainable industry in a time of great change. How can we build a resilient industry that makes qualitative relevant content for audiences while also guaranteeing long-term artistic and independent structures?
The Nostradamus Project aims to monitor, predict and analyse the future of the screen industries. It is founded and run by Göteborg Film Festival with support from and in collaboration with lead partner Film i Väst and with additional support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond, Region Västra Götaland, Kulturakademin and Creative Europe/MEDIA.
Nostradamus Panel: Championing Long-term Sustainability The unprecedented growth in production and capital has caused pressures on the sustainability of the film business and financing models in Europe, as well as revealed a crisis in the sustainability of working conditions across the industry. Together with a panel of pioneering experts and executives, we will explore different perspectives on how to future-proof the industry when it comes to sustainable creativity, independent production, and healthy working conditions.
Panel: Tamara Tatishvili, Head of Medici, Claus Ladegaard, CEO Danish Film Institute, Katarina Tomkova, Producer, Kaleidoscope and Anna Croneman, Head of Drama SVT.
