Mads Mengel grew up in a small village in Jutland, Denmark. When he moved to Copenhagen, he started to make short films. He eventually got in to the Danish Film School, from where he graduated in summer 2019, as a fiction director with his graduation film For Juliane. He has since been working with both film- and TV drama projects and is currently developing his debut feature My Family at Monolit Films.
